我们可以通过综合平时测验中的完形填空题，总结更多的解题技巧，具体讲有以下几条：

1. 如果靠词的意思无法区分正确答案，就多从结构和搭配着手

比如一篇文章谈芽破土而出时在come out和come through选一个，直接选择through，因为out后面一般不能带宾语。根据结构所以选择come through。

2. 看清主语不要在臆想状态下做题

如一篇讲追击抢匪的文章，“我”在追到抢匪后,有选择题I was too .在brave和nervous中作出选择，如果看清了主语和副词too，则可以轻松选定nervous，而不会选择brave。

3. 难题多用代入法和排除法

对有生词出现的选择项可以用排除法来进行。如：

Ihad left myself plenty of time, soon it was (strange/obvious) I was going to belate.

代入strange不通，因此选择obvious作为答案才更合理。

4. 紧扣主题和反映主旨往往是“正确”答案和最佳答案之间的区别

有篇文章谈养宠物可以克服自闭症，里面谈到 Joy is a girl. 在small和shy中选一个，克服自闭心理所以选择shy。下面再举一例：

Things go right from the beginning. (bad/wrong)

go wrong 糟糕，go bad 物质变质，因此选wrong。

5. 通过生活中的常识来分析问题

一些出现在文章中的场景，例如登机、机场见面通常在不同登机口(gate而不是door)前见面。还有一些基本的科学知识，如昼夜的长度，夏天昼长夜短等，有时候也会对解题提供一定的提示。
